Dear Folks,

Since 2 years now, I purchased a Auriga 2000RG from Ontario, nicely builded and with 250 hours on Airframe, this airplane went 7 time to KOSH. We flew back the airplane to Eastern Quebec, and I decided to make some upgrades on it. I hope coming to KOSH when ready....

I'm starting that post to share what weve done on it.

Stay Tuned

I’m looking forward to hearing about it, you have a beautiful airplane!

If you don’t mind sharing some pictures or feedback about your flaps, I’m interested in the Fowler style vs piano hinge conventional flaps. Especially what kind of takeoff and landing performance are you seeing with the increased wing area?

I’m also interested to hear what kinds of TAS and fuel flows you are seeing at altitude with the RG model.

Thanks,
-Dan

Dear Folks,

Long time I've not been in forum...

Project is almost done, hundreds of hours working on airplane...

What I modified/manufactured...

-Complete fuel system with Andair
-Complete baffeling on engine,
-New front RG landing gear / Geometry
-Rear rudder configuration with perfect perpendicular action
-Paint refresh
-Cowling modification/repair
-Led Taxi/Landing lights

Now installing G3X touch with IFR suite including ADSB, Stormscope and TCAS.

I will post pictures of project soon.

Louis

Hi Dan,

Sorry for time to answer, too much work and no time for internet ...

About fowler flap, performance is good, with 30 degree, 80 MPH over fence and down to 60MPH...

Performance is really good, 12.5 GPH is 180MPH, 15 GPH is 220 MPH at 6K, engine is IO540 260 HP... only improvement would be reflex with fowler flaps that could increase speed as well..
