Winglets

Post by jeffreyhowell »

I saw a Express with small winglets that looked very nice. I was wondering if anyone knows the owner of the aircraft or has a good design for the winglets. If you do know the owner of that aircraft do you have any contact info? I am mostly concerned about appearance not a big performance increase... Thanx Jeff

Could you tell the registration. For some reason Werner Maag sticks in my mind as a person that did winglets. If it was not him I seem to recall it was not a US based Express. You might check the old forum. I know I read somewhere about someone doing winglets on a Express but I justs cannot recall where. Maybe a CAFE article or some EAA article.

I dont think performance wise they helped much but again, I'm trying to remember from foggy memory. I cannot find the link right now but if you search youtube there was a video with some guys doing vortex generators on an Express.
