Opinions wanted:
Flat Magnetic indicator instrument? or a simple wet compass?
Where is the best/better places to put the compass if the center window pillar isn't an option in the Wheeler... mounting it to the window like a rearview mirror in a car doesn't seem to a be spectacular idea? In panel? under the lip of the panel glare shield? on top of the glare shield?

I like the vertical card compass- it more closely matches the HSI or DG. There are small compasses that meet FAA requirements, or you can install it in the panel in an empty hole. Be aware of the electrical or radios in close proximity to the compass that might render it useless.
