Re: Wing Bolts

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your Express! Love to hear more about what you got, how it's equipped, and what part of the country you're in. We purchased our Series 90 about 18 months ago so I don't have anywhere near the experience some of the other folks here, but it looks like the torque ...

Re: Oshkosh 2019

Yeah, it's been hot in Nashville, too, but probably not as hot as Texas. We had an oil leak pop up and spent time out on the ramp tracking that down as we're still on the waiting list for a hangar. After wiping down the engine and another test run, we discovered leaks on the valve covers so got thos...

Re: Oshkosh 2019

We didn't get to go up until Saturday and since that was the end of the show most of the homebuilts had already left. Much of the homebuilt parking was empty. There may very well have been some Express aircraft there, but I didn't see any. We wound up driving ourselves as the plane just came out of ...

Oshkosh 2019

Any Express owners heading up to Oshkosh this year? I'd like to meet you if so.

Thanks,
Phil

Re: Pre-buy inspection

Hey Vitalij, welcome to the forums! We have only had our Express for about a year so there are others here with much more experience than me so hopefully they will comment here, too. Erik's already given some good info above but one other thing I've heard a lot about checking out are the landing gea...

Re: Composite Aircraft Technology strong and healthy!

That's great to hear about them. I'd called Darrell earlier this year about my gear fairings and he shared where I could and could not drill into the wing for attaching them. Looks like nice work they're doing on that Express in the pic!

Re: Dimensions of the Nose Gear Support?

Oh, good. I have some measurements from when I was in the hangar yesterday and hadn’t posted those with pics yet, but Darrell’s will be much more exact than mine :D

Re: Dimensions of the Nose Gear Support?

I've attached the part of the manual I have for the nose gear support. There are a few measurements in SB056 that are in there, if that's of any help. Some of that part is going to be buried under my dash but if you'll help describe what dimensions you need, if I can get to it, I'll attempt to measu...
