Re: Larger tail
Missed the question about the size- The CT tail has a stab about 8.5 feet long- IE wide. The Auriga made it about a foot longer and a wider chord- but I dont have time right now to see if I have that manual for exact numbers. I think I read before that it increased the tail area by 15%. The new kits...

Re: Larger tail
I have 2 CT kits, one from 92 and one from 99. Both are the same for the most part. After the company went bankrupt in the late 90s, some builders with partial kits got together to copy parts and finish their airplanes. This bred the version called the Auriga, and then the S90. Basically for your ne...

Re: set of wings
There is a guy from the old forum that posted a kit for sale for 12K. He still has it. His name is Dave Rupp. His email is dave_rupp at hotmail dot com. (sorry for the email format, but we get thousands of crawlers a day looking for info from the board- its a world wide problem and a real pain for f...

Re: Old Forum
I have fixed the links on the http://express-builder.com/old/forum/messages/board-topics.html page for the General section and the engine section, folder 29- almost 2500 posts there. When you click this link, and then click the General section you come to a page with topics on the left. Click on a t...

Old Forum
I havent been able to get or find or write a converter for the old file system to the new one. However, the data is still here and on this very web server. Over the next few days or so I will add a section to this forum- one topic for each section of the old website. While it is not going to be sear...

Re: set of wings
I will keep an eye out (or an ear). Is the spar damaged, or just the skin or all of it?

Re: Express-builder forum
Thanks for the compliment. I like to build computer systems, write programs, and build microcontrollers as a hobby, so it is kind of fun. I also have a webserver with 7 sites on it now, so the additional cost to host this board isn't all that much. The time thing, it takes a bit. Mostly due to spam ...

Re: Express-builder forum
Hi Jabaccaro, I have the old forum on my computer, including all of the data. The previous admin couldn't run it anymore. It is an old Discus forum, which means it operates differently and is not compatible with the new php based system. I am trying to get the old info converted to the new php syste...

Re: vibration issue on first flight
It looks like your single pilot CG is right at the forward limit. After you fix the door structurally, if this doesnt fix it you might try a little ballast in the aft part of the plane. My empty CG is 78.4 and empty weight of 1759. I have an IO 360 and you have a 540 so your CG should be farther up,...

Nav/strobes
Made these myself here. All 1watt LEDs, circuitry underneath, fully encased in epoxy. And they match the wing tip. Snapped this with the strobe on- center LEDs are the strobes.
