Re: Wight and Balance information.

If you don't have one, you need to weigh the aircraft and do one. I have scales here at KMBT South of Nashville

Re: wing foam hard blocks

Divynicell is a good source- glass with different foams inside and different thicknesses.

Comes in sheets, easy to cut and strong.

Re: linear actuator for flaps

About 6-7 seconds full flap travel would be close- too fast and it could lead to control issues.
My linear actuator is 1/2" per second with around 4" total travel.

Re: Express S-90 SPIN

The Express will recover from a spin similar to the Cirrus- expect to lose 1000 to 2000 feet quickly before you get it back. I dont know why you would be in a situation to spin it, I can fly my CT as low as 58 knots with 10 deg of flaps, so I am not sure why one would be that close to stall in the f...

Re: airspeed indicator and flap torque tubes

A 4" hole saw makes a nice inspection plate cutter. And it fits back in the place it came out of.
I used a linear actuator with built in pot and hooked it to a microcomputer. Let me get my notes and I can tell you how to do it analog. Stay tuned. Email me if I take too long, been busy.

Re: Wing tip lights

Its 2 pieces inner and clear outer. I made a wood mockup for the outer shape, and a wood inner core to make sure it would fit like I wanted it. I used these to make silicone molds. I poured the inner out of a 2 part plastic and trimmed it to fit what I wanted. All of the LEDs are 1 watt red, white o...
