Re: Seat Belt/Hard points.

The lengths are standard, I think around 120 inches. Sounds like a lot, but I had to mount my reels on the top of the plane to make it work, which means an inertia reel that will work in any position not just straight up vertical. I first mounted the reel on the lower half of the fuse, ran it to the...

Re: Looking for Builders/Owners of Express 2000 Airplanes

I wasn't intending to put down the factory, just stating facts. I last spoke to Darrell in 2013. After this he hasn't returned any emails or calls. I get a good many calls from owners and potential builders that say the same thing. As you are likely aware there are a good many kits out there that ar...

Re: Looking for Builders/Owners of Express 2000 Airplanes

Since the last update some notifications and some attachments aren't coming through. I found it in the que file, but I didn't get a notification when you put it up. Sorry about that. Email me the pic and I will attach it through the backend so it will be there for people to see.

Re: Seat Belt/Hard points.

Not sure why they call that out, but my first and oldest Wheeler has bolts with big washers for the seat belt attach point. Mine are behind the solid area behind the pilot and off to the side of the passengers. I used a retractable seat belt that works in any position and mounted it overhead for the...

Re: express taildragger?

1. Dont know if it is dangerous. I have spoken to the owner of the only one that I know of in existence. Reportedly its flying characteristics are indicative of an incidence problem with the tail. 2. Nothing wrong with the design, they just mounted the mains forward of the CG and added a tail wheel....

Re: express taildragger?

As far as I know there is only 1, and it wasn't the best flying machine. Apparently there might be some build issues with it.
