Parts and information

I currently have 3 kits and most of the technical data and CAD files for the Express aircraft including information on the RG model. I have CNC machines and composite panels at my shop, so shortly I will be able to produce most of the parts needed to build or repair our planes. New website is coming...

Re: Grove landing gear

I am assuming that you have the fiberglass gear, so the mounts will be a little bit different. My last conversation with Grove and a note on their website indicates that they aren't taking any new orders for this or any other gear. I am currently working on a solution that involves a different mount...

Re: Continental fuel pressure

depends on the model. Look at the data plate and see what version it is- 550 B, N, or what. Search for SID97G, its a Continental service bulletin that gives the fuel pressure settings for most of their engines, if you can't find it there email me and I can pull it from the manual.

Re: Upper gear fairing attachment

You can drill into the spar cap ahead of the fuel tank i.e the forward lip of the spar. That is where the tie down in installed. Its to dense there that you could likely tap it with a coarse thread tap, it would be 3/8 to 1/2" thick there. Where the gear is is inboard of the tank so as long as ...

Re: 2000 RG questions

Ok, here goes. I am a CFI with an express, 100 hours or so in type, and I give transition training if you buy one. I have flown several in various states of completion and condition. If you get a kit, it will be an older kit and may or may not be complete so keep that in mind. The fixed gear version...

Re: Looking for CFI

As far as I know I am the only on around, 100 hours in type, CFI/MEI
I live in Nashville but I can travel wherever. $500/ day, get me there and back, and I need a place to sleep for overnight.

Re: Buying my 1st express.

I land my CT almost exactly like I do a Cirrus. 100 in downwind, 90 on base, 80 on final, cross the numbers at 75 and touchdown at 65 to 70. It’s easy. I’m in the Nashville area and give transition training almost everywhere.

Re: Tire pressure

Inflate the nose tire until you have about 4 inches on the tarmac. Too much pressure will lead to shimmy.

Re: Prop overhaul

The prop shop will go through it and check the parts for OH, a complete OH will come with a new book. No issues.
